Joseph Armstrong was born in 1868. He was the son of Charles Jordan and Eleanor Anne Armstrong.
He worked on sheep stations in Hawke's Bay and Wanganui,.
Went to Australia, qualified as a Dentist.
Practiced as a dentist in Tauranga, Bay of Plenty, New Zealand
He passed away in 1933.
