As part of our goal for one world wide tree, there should be only one profile per person. Rather than create duplicates, update (or merge) with existing profiles. See the information on merging profiles here: https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Help:Merging
As Debi mention, the Automated GEDCOM Cleanup (AGC) tool can help you clean up GEDCOM biographies. https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Space:WikiTree_AGC
Thanks for having a big heart and adopting the Orphaned Profiles. This After Adopting Orphans FAQ explains the special attention adopted profiles will sometimes need.
Let me know if you have any questions on how to find and record sources, merge duplicates, clean up GEDCOM biographies, and interpret the Suggestions report. I'm here to help!
Debi
PS If you have any GEDCOM cleanup to do, there is a new tool that can help. You can read more about it in the WikiTree AGC FAQ.
I noticed you chose our Integrators Challenge this month (October 2020), thank you!
And if you can please add your question that you will be working on or the profile marked "needs profiles created" for the challenge. Thanks.
Got a question, see this page:https://www.wikitree.com/index.php?title=Space:Integrators_Project_Challenge_Outline&public=1 and ....
https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Project:Integrators_Challenge#How_the_Challenge_Works Also, you can put a sticker on your profile You can do so by adding the words Integrators Challenge with the {{ }} in front and back, in your biography.
Thank you and Good Luck!! Dorothy, Integrators Project Coordinator.

If you click your green tags it will show you members who are also following that tag. Add tags for other family surnames, for locations or interests. Tags link you to the community sourcing & research options, to add more tags (you can have 20) go to your tags. I would recommend you add tags for your surnames of interest JOHNSON also add your biological surname if different or known.
You can find more information about tags here: https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Tags.

PPS. Please avoid the use of abbreviations as they can mean different things in different countries, always use the full words
Thank you for adding your DNA Test to your profile on WikiTree. Getting Started with DNA will tell you more about how DNA kits are used on WikiTree.
DNA at WikiTree provides a visual way for you to find others who have tested and have the potential of having common ancestors. To get the best results, you need to continue adding sourced profiles for your ancestors until you can connect to existing profiles in WikiTree. If you have exhausted what you know on one line, try a different one. 24 hours after you connect to an existing profile, your test will have populated on the profiles of your ancestors and their descendants, where others with potential matches may also appear.
Let me know if you have any questions, and have fun!

I see that you mentioned adoption in your tags/bio. By adding your branches to our shared tree, there may be an opportunity for someone to find you!
Adoptees: How to Set Up Your Profile is a WikiTree help page specifically designed for new members who indicate they are adoptees. It is also helpful for non-adopted members who have living adoptees in their family tree. The page includes links to more resources, like our Adoption Angels Project, basic search techniques, information on DNA, etc.

Since you uploaded a GEDCOM, I wanted to give you the link to a tutorial that one of our mentors created that others found very helpful. I hope that you will too.

Uploading a GEDCOM does not automatically generate a tree. You must go thru each person in your GEDCOM to make sure there are no duplicates before they can be added to WikiTree. Hope this helps answer your question.
