Mary was a Friend (Quaker)

Mary Jessop married William Jackson, the son of Samuel & Catherine Jackson, on 10 Sep 1790.^[1] Their marriage was recorded in the minutes of the Westfield Monthly Meeting of the Society of Friends in Surry County, North Carolina.

Research Notes

She may have been the daughter of Jacob & Rachel Jessop, born 7/12/1776, meaning she married at 14 years old or she may have been the daughter of Joseph and Priscilla Jessop, born 1/11/1766, which seems more likely, as William was born in 1767. These dates are in the New Garden Meeting Minutes.^[2]
