There is a record on ancestry that has James Adams marrying Elizabeth Jenkins on 10 Oct 1792 so I'm wondering where the name Milton comes from. I am also having trouble reconciling that this James Adams is the Capt James Adams, UEL. He would have been 12 years old when the revolution started. I am a descendant of Agnes Adams and John Robertson and have DNA Matches in Ellen Eleanor Adams Sage line and Mary Ann Adams Bateson line. However, I don't know any family history so would appreciate someone clarifying Capt James Adams. Also the wedding was in England, but some people say he was born in the states.
