Frank Schuyler James was born in Red Oak, Montgomery, Iowa 16 February 1882. He was the son of John James and Maggie Davies.[1][2][3] In 1885, the James family relocated to Wayne County, Nebraska where they remained until 1903.[4][5]
In March of 1903, Frank immigrated to Canada with his parents and 3 of his brothers. They settled east of Ponoka, Alberta and are listed there in the 1906 Census of the Northwest Provinces. [6] Frank married Ina Vida Martin 18 December 1907 in Ponoka.[7][1] Frank and Ina farmed in the Water Glen area east of Ponoka for many years, raising a family of 8 children. They are listed in the Canada Census records for 1911,[8] 1916,[9] 1921,[10] and 1926.[11]
Frank died 25 July 1944 in Lacombe, Alberta. [12] He is buried in the Forest Home Cemetery in Ponoka. [13]
