Anne-Grethe was born in Mo i Rana, Norway. Her parents were Amund Johan Konradsen Jacobsen (1924-1989) and Sonja Carlsen (1929-2004), and she has no siblings.
She grew up in Oslo, Bærum and Skien, Norway. She went to business school in Bergen and work brought her to Stavanger, where she now has been living since 2001.
Her spare time is spent with her Shetland Sheepdog and good friends. She also enjoys fiber arts, like knitting and crocheting.
She became interested in genealogy when she was around 20 - at a time when she had to travel a couple of hours to research her ancestors at the National Archives in Oslo. Over the years I have found her great great grandmother, Sophie, was kven, one of the minorities in Norway. Anne-Grethe's other roots are from:
She has tested a lot of applications and websites for organising all her ancestors and extended family, but she has now settled for Heredis. She has been lurking around the WikiTree forest for a few years, she joined the 2023 Secret Santa event as an elf, and she has learned so much from that. WikiTree is really what genealogy is all about, and she loves it!
She loves to research, solve mysteries and help others.
She is currently working on adding her tree to WikiTree, and learning as she goes along!

mvh Leif
Takk for påminnelsen.
Congratulations on certifying to work on pre-1700 profiles! It’s very important to read and understand the Pre-1700 Profiles page. These profiles for deep ancestors are shared by many, and collaborating on them works best if we all follow the guidelines in the certification quiz.
Primary sources should always be added to pre-1700 profiles at the time they are created. If you don't have a source for a pre-1700 profile, it would be best to ask for help in the G2G forum before creating the profile.
