Biography

Joseph was born in 1892.

Joe William Jackson registered for the WWI draft ^[1] as a U.S. Government employee of the Railway Mail Service, and as a single man with a dependent father. He was described as Tall with dark brown eyes and dark hair. He was born Palmetto, Georgia, but there are three different towns so named in Georgia. He was probably born in either Campbell or Fulton County.

Census evidence indicates that he married Genieve Slatton sometime before 1920, and census shows two children, surmised as Dorothy Ann Jackson and Joseph William Jackson (Jr.)

He passed away in 1971.^[2]

Research Notes

He appears to be, but not proven, the son of Christopher Columbus Jackson and Sarah. ^{[3] [4]}
