Research Notes

Thomas is mentioned in his brother, James Jacka’s, Will written in 1803.[5] For more details see James Jacka’s Profile.

Thomas' estate was settled four months after his death on the 4 April 1834, the main beneficiaries were his beloved wife and his youngest son James Jacka between them they inherited as joint Tenants and all his “worldly goods and properties with all money due to me at present or, that shall become due to me at aney[sic] future.”
His two remaining unwed children, daughters “Martha Jacka [and] Lucy Jacka [received] The bed which they now sleep un with All the things belonging unto it.”[sic].[6]

It is thought that only his wife and unwed children were listed in his will as he may have already given his other married children their inheritance when they got married.

This link The Wills of of Thomas Jacka and Anna Jacka nee Moyses outlines the research that was used to establish and confirm who their children are.
