Biography

George Frederick Ide was born in 1875 at Birmingham in Warwickshire. He was the son of George Ide and his wife Emma, born Emma Mould. [1] [2] [3]

In 1881 George F. Ide was living at "Red Lion" inn in St Pancras in Chichester in Sussex with his uncle Charles Ide, and Charles's wife and sister-in-law. His age was given as 6, implying a birth date in 1874 or 1875. His birthplace was given as Birmingham, Warwickshire. [4]

In 1891 George Ide was living at 6 Ann Street in Ratcliff in the East End of London with his parents, George and Emma, and their other children. His age was given as 16, implying a birth date in 1874 or 1875. His birthplace was given as Birmingham. [2]

George Frederick Ide, bachelor, aged 27, an actor, of 21 Compton Terrace, son of George Ide (deceased), engineer; and Dorothy Cleveland Maude, spinster, aged 20, of 5 Millman Street, Bedford Row, daughter of Richard Watson Maude, theatrical manager; were married at the parish church of St Giles in the Fields in London on 31 May 1902. [3]

In 1911 George Frederick Ide was living at 48 Cooks Road in Kennington in south London with his wife Dorothy. His age was given as 36, implying a birth date in 1874 or 1875. His birthplace was given as Birmingham. He was an actor and vocalist. It was stated that George and Dorothy had been married for 9 complete years, and they had had no children. [5]
