Margaret, daughter of Nathan Hunt and Jane, was born on 30 September 1878 and baptised on 18 June 1880 in Horfield, Gloucestershire, England.[1][2] Margaret's birth was registered in the Jan-Feb-Mar quarter of 1879 in the Barton Regis district.[3] At the time of the 1881 England and Wales census she was 2 years old.[4]
At the time of the 1901 census of England and Wales, a Margaret Eveline Hunt worked as a school teacher at The Friends School, Mount Pleasant Road, Saffron Walden, Essex, England. She was single, age 22.[5]
