Biography
John Hunkins was born in Howard Township in 1847. He was the son of Peter Hunkins and Mary Hall. He moved to Tuscola County, Michigan with his parents about 1867.
John was married twice. His first wife was Emma A. Seeley (1855-1929), divorced in 1890s.
Children: (1) Mark Hollis (Apr. 22, 1874-May 1963) who died in Hart, MI. He married Maude A. (1880-1964) (2) Lillian L. (Sept. 8, 1877-Feb. 17, 1882) (3) Raymond H. (Aug. 8-Sept. 4, 1881) (4) Claude Daniel (Aug.1,1885-Feb.22,1969) who died in Austin, TX. He married Ellen Gladys Hine (1894-1942)
On July 5, 1899 John married (2) Agnes Belle (Bunyea) Fitzgerald.
John passed away in Tuscola County in 1933.
