Robert Ernest Humphrey was born 24 Feb 1924, Minnesota. He is the son of Ernest Humphrey and Tellie Johnson Humphrey.

Robert served in the United States Coast Guard during World War II, he was a Seaman-1.

He passed away 18 Jul 1996, and is buried in Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis, Hennepin, Minnesota.
