Biography
Nydia Marie was born in 1892. She passed away in 1987. Nydia didn't drink alcohol in her later years but she ate anything. She loved raw oysters and crawfish. Once waiting for a flight in the New Orleans airport she disappeared. We found her in the oyster bar. She loved the race track and when we visited New Orleans she always wanted us to take her to the Fair Grounds.
Since she didn't drink as long as we knew her we always thought she was a teetotaler but several family sources say she was a flapper in her younger year and loved parties and the night life.
She had lots of energy and was always on the go. She was married four times and would have been married five but one gentleman died before they could get married.
She visited newborn twin grandchildren in California and died at home in her sleep at 95 on 21 Jun 1987.[1]
