On 20 Feb 1834 in Monroe County, Indiana, John married Mary "Polly" Mathes (spelling may also appear as Mary Mathis or Polly Mathis) (c 1811 Indiana - unknown Arkansas)[1]
John and Polly were buried in Bethel Cemetery, Gravette, Benton County, Arkansas.

Sylvania Huff (1838 Indiana – ), married on 4 Oct 1855 in Brown County, Indiana, to Marlin Percifield (or Percefield) (c 1826 - ) by W.S. Roberts (Justice of the Peace).[2] Marlin had been previously married in 1850 to Orinda Hoover and in 1874 married a third time, to Mary Graham.[3] Was Sylvania deceased or had there been a divorce? In the 1860 Benton County, Arkansas, census, Sylvania's family was enumerated immediately above her parents, although her spouse was listed as Martin Percifield, a Miller.
