Charles was born in 1850 in Church Enstone, Oxfordshire.[1] He was the son of Thomas Huckin and Rebecca (Adkins) Huckin. His baptism took place at St Kenelm's, Enstone on 22nd December 1850.[2] His father stated on the register that he was a labourer.
Marriage
Charles Huckin and Mary Jane Arthur were married after banns at St Kenelm's, Church Enstone on 4th September 1875.[3] Charles was 25, a bachelor working as a stonemason and living in Enstone, the son of Thomas Huckin who was also a stonemason. Mary Jane was a 26 year old spinster, working as a domestic servant, living in Banbury and the daughter of John Arthur who was a labourer. Charles signed his own name on the register whilst Mary Jane could only make her mark with a cross. The witnesses to the marriage were Frederick Jones and Elizabeth Woods and Thomas Hawten.[4]

Death
Charles died in 1935[8]. He was buried in Enstone, Oxfordshire on 24th September 1935[9]. The register states that he was 84 years old and that he had been living in Neat Enstone, Oxfordshire.
