Death

John Howlett died 21 Jun 1889 at the age of 48^[1] in Victoria, Australia and was interred at Bumberrah Cemetery, Bumberrah, Victoria, Australia^[1][2][3] He dictated his Will to an attendant at the Melbourne Hospital as he lay dying, in 13 Jun 1889. In it, he bequeathed his share of money in the bank, stocks and implements to his "beloved wife" Caroline. She was also to receive the proceeds of the rental of his land for the duration of her life. After her death, the grazing property was to be sold, and the proceeds distributed equally among his children.^[4]
