Biography

Joseph Houser was born on 28 Oct 1845 in Tennessee. He passed away in Royal, Arkansas on 3 Aug 1919 and was buried in the Lowe Cemetery, Royal, Arkansas.^[1][2]

1900 Census: Joseph Houser and his wife Sarah T. Houser (48) are living in Ouachita Township of Garland County, Arkansas. The record shows that Joseph was 54, born in Tennessee during October of 1845, and that he had been married to Sarah for 30 years. The couple have 5 unmarried children in their home: Amanda E. (20), Joel A. (17), Chas R. (15), Julie C (13), and Lucie A. (12). Their married daughter Emma L Owen (23), her husband William R. Owen (25), and her one year old child, Birtha E. Owen, are also listed as members of the household.^[3]
