Emma May Hostler was the daughter of Michael Hosler Jr (1832–1916) and Elizabeth Disler (1832–1930). She was born on 22 Sep 1862 and grew up near Eel River in Clear Creek, Allen County, Indiana. She married William Barnum Fletter (1858–1891) on 10 August 1879. They lived in Saint Joseph, Allen County, where they had seven children together. After William’s death, she married Alfred E. Keck on 29 November 1893. They had two children together before they divorced in 1899, leaving May to support her six younger children in Fort Wayne. May married David Albert Myers on 31 May 1902 in Allen County, Indiana.[1][2][3][4][5]

David and May lived in Chicago, Cook County, Illinois, for a time, where David worked as a carpenter. They had one son together, whom they raised with May’s other children. By 1920, they had returned to Fort Wayne, where they lived with May’s mother. May died from chronic kidney disease on 4 May 1922 at age 59 in Fort Wayne, Allen County, Indiana. She was buried in Old Leo Cemetery in Leo-Cedarville, Allen County, Indiana.[6][7][8][9]
