Biography

Thomas Wilhelm Hoskins was born on the American base in Frankfurt AM, Germany to Tommie D Hoskins and Dorma Lea Yount. He was one of 12 children born to the union.

Thomas was a free spirit that loved abstract and collage art. He worked in many places as a dishwasher. He also served in the US Marine Corp as a Sharpshooter.

Thomas married Roberta F Cook in October 1980. They had one child, Dorma L Hoskins. They divorced six months after Dorma was born. Dorma was later adopted by Roberta's second husband, Jay E Bartlett.

Dorma, also known as Dodie Bartlett, is the only proven child of Thomas. Through her, Thomas has four grandchildren.

Thomas passed away July 4, 1989 in Tacoma, Washington. His coffin was transported by train from Seattle to Kansas City. As the family gathered for the Monday funeral service, they were told his coffin had not arrived in Kansas City. The coffin had been lost. Two days later the coffin was found in Los Angeles. The family smiled at this event. Thomas, forever a gypsy, had yet another journey! Thomas was never reunited with his daughter.
