I sent you a private message the other day about working with you on some profiles. Could you please check your email and let me know if you received it. Cheers, Elizabeth :-)
Hi when your creating pre-1700 profiles, you need to add the primary records such as birth, death, marriage, census to the profile, rather than the Family Search Person Page, rather you need to add the sources listed on the page. Thank you.
Congratulations on certifying to work on pre-1700 profiles! It’s very important to read and understand the Pre-1700 Profiles page. These profiles for deep ancestors are shared by many, and collaborating on them works best if we all follow the guidelines in the certification quiz.
Primary sources should always be added to pre-1700 profiles at the time they are created. If you don't have a source for a pre-1700 profile, it would be best to ask for help in the G2G forum before creating the profile.

Hello! Please check your email to find a message from me. (Sometimes they get placed in your spam folder.) I'd like to offer help and address any questions you might have as you continue your journey on Wikitree. Deb ~ Wikitree Mentor/volunteer
I see that you are using HTML markup which is not recommended. This is explained in the Style FAQ and further in HTML and Inline CSS and Recommended Tags. These also link to a couple of G2G discussions.
It is nice, however, to make certain things stand out. Thus we see various Project related items, such as Mayflower Passengers, and various Research Note Boxes, such as Estimated Date. Further, we have stickers such as Mayflower Descendants which is for living descendants of Mayflower passengers (e.g., active members).
What you are looking for, I believe, is the Descendant Template. This would be applicable, for example on Carter and also on others like Lurten-6 and Arey-547.
For others such as Thomas-42866 you can use Wiki Markup. There are shortcut buttons for some, like bold and italics on the edit toolbar.
Once you try these things, you may find that it actually is much quicker and easier to use the stickers and recommended markup.
Some profiles of mine have HTML banners, which I intend to replace over time; I initially was using the Descendant sticker but received conflicting statements regarding whether that sticker is allowed (people seem to be conflating it with the Living-only Mayflower sticker). For some time I thus used that HTML banner. I have been replacing them with Descendant stickers when I do see them, but I have no way to tell which profiles have the banner except by running into them by chance.
You can find them by using the Bio Check app (here https://apps.wikitree.com/apps/sands1865/biocheck/) with Help here. Start BioCheck. For How to find profiles, select Check Watchlist. Set the max numbers to 5000. For Profiles to report, pick Detailed report. In the "Search biography for" field enter <div. Click Check profiles. When this is done, click on the Search? heading on the results to sort for profiles that have the search phrase.
You can use other search fields, such as <b> or <i>
Since your Watchlist is so large, we would have to look at other approaches for beyond the first 5000 profiles. Would you like me to investigate?
Thanks for Danforth work you did on May 27th. I also like how you did the descendants template to allow for a Mayflower linkage without violating the Mayflower template use on only active profiles. I will remember how to do that.
I haven't run across this site before I don't think. It looks like the resources it links to are mostly ones I've already found and been using, however. The mailing list for queries may be of use, and the Kinfolk newsletter looks like it might be interesting; however, as the newsletter is not free, I'd probably only sign up for it as a last resort if I can't find sufficient information on FS, Ancestry, or at NEGHS.
Hi! You've made a lot of relationship changes for a pre-1700 profile - Isaac Cole Sr. (1687-). This is just a reminder that certifying to work on these types of profiles means that you agree to add valid sources as outlined in the Pre-1700 Certification Quiz. While the source that you link to in Ancestry may be reliable, you need to provide details about the source in the profile, not just a link (I'm not a member of Ancestry, so I couldn't access the reliability of what's behind a fire wall for me). For project-specific pages about reliable sources, please see https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Category:Reliable_Sources_for_Pre-1700_Profiles
If you need help with this, our G2G Forum is a great place to start. You can get there by clicking the link on the Help menu.
These profiles are a work in progress; I will improve the sourcing for them as I continue working. The ancestry links on some of the children of Isaac Cole lead to baptism records (these baptisms seem to be either not indexed on FamilySearch or FS doesn't have the necessary microfilm reels). The town of Truro appears to have this issue much more than other towns I've looked at; other towns, such as Provincetown and Wellfleet, have well-indexed vital records, but certain families in Truro seem to be missing in vitals. Anyhow, I'll continue working on building up these profiles.
I've disconnected Isaac from the current father William Cole and added a short research note explaining why. If you can locate proof of his parentage, please advise the Mayflower Project, as we'd certainly be interested in that documentation. It's not currently recognized by the Mayflower Society as far as I can find. So lacking some solid evidence, we really can't maintain that relationship on WikiTree. Again, if you do locate proof, please advise me or Anne B.
I saw your name on wikitree and tried to figure out our family connection, but didn't recognize any names. My surname is Heald. Father grew up in Texas.
I noticed that you had created a WikiTree Profile page for Wells Hall. I would be interested in exchanging notes regarding Wells Hall. William McHenry Hall and his wife Almira Raner are my ancestors. They were listed in the 1850 Federal Census household of Wells Hall and Ann. Thank You Debbie Freeman
