Biography

Hannah was born near the Ohio River in Virginia[1] or Ohio on July 17, 1812 to William Hooton and Anna McGavran. She married Capt. William Twaddle of the Ohio Militia on November 6, 1831 in Ohio. They moved to McDonough County, Illinois in 1844 and William Twaddle took over the farm in Bethel Township from Hannah's father, William Hooton. William and Hannah had the following children:

  • James Twaddle,
  • Mary Ann (Twaddle) Huff,
  • Mahlon M Twaddle,
  • George Washington Twaddle,
  • Minerva E (Twaddle) Lawyer,
  • David L Twaddle,
  • Jacob L Twaddle

In 1860, she lived with her husband and 4 children, William, Mary, George, and Minerva, in Bethel Township, McDonough County, Illinois.[2]

She passed away in 1864. She is buried with her husband in Scott's Cemetery, McDonough County, Illinois[3] han
