BIO:Very little is known about George HOGUE. He left his wife Lizzie about the time their youngest daughter (Louise) was born. They never divorced and Lizzie had to raise the five children by herself. It is not known if he helped with any money or not.
Tom Bullock (grandson) remembers his Mother (Helen)saying he traded in
horses and that she had no love for him at all. He was influential in getting his wife (Lizzie) to come to California IN 1918, so he must have had some respect from her.
George, his son Thomas, his daughter Louise and John Hart went to the State of Washington and logged the property of his Parents in 1922. The next time his daughter, Louise, heard from him was when he dropped in at her house on West St. in Oakland, California. No one heard from him again after that visit. There was some speculation that he may have gone to Alaska, but no one really knows. The date of this last visit isn't remembered exactly, but Louise thinks it was 1926 or in the next year or two.
