Thomas Augustus Hoadley, born 6 January 1848 in Chillicothe, Oliio; resides in Glen Ellyn, Ill.; married 28 October 1879 in Blue Island, Ill., Rebecca Arnold, daughter of Stephen and Agnes (Moran) Arnold, born 2 December 1858 in Glen Ellyn.[1]
Thomas Augustus Hoadley lived in his native place until May 16, 1865, when he came to Chicago, and has resided there and in its vicinity ever since. He is employed with W. H.
Brown and Brother as a shoe salesman, in which business he has always been engaged. He resides in Glen Ellyn, a suburb of Chicago, where he intends to make his home for the future.[1]
On August 13th, Thomas Hoadley, age 2, born in Ohio, was enumerated in the household of Nelson Hoadley, age 43, born in Connecticut. Also in home were Maryetta, Hoadley, age 41, born in Connecticut, Uraney Hoadley, age 17, born in Ohio, Henry Hoadley, age 14, born in Ohio, and Amander Phelps, age 35, born in Connecticut.[2]

On June 29th, Thomas Hoodle, age 12, born in Connecticut, was enumerated in household of Nelson Hoodle, age 54, born Connecticut. Also in home were Mary Hoodle, age 51, born in Connecticut, and Henry Hoodle, age 24, born in Connecticut.[3]

On June 15th, Thomas Hodley, age 32, born in Ohio, was enumerated in the household of his father, Nelson Hodley, age 73, born in Connecitcut. Also in home were his mother, Mary Hodley, age 70, and his wife Rebbeca Hodley, age 20, born in Illinois.[5]

On June 1st, Thomas Hoadley, age 50, born in Ohio, was enumerated as the head of household, owning a home. He worked as a shoe salesman. Also in home were his wife, Rebecca L Hoadley, age 42, born in Illinois, and his children, Clinton H Hoadley, age 14, born in Illinois, Agnes M Hoadley, age 7, born in Illinois, and Richard T Hoadley, age 2, born in Illinois. Thomas and Rebecca were married for 20 years.[6]
Death
Thomas A. Hoadley died on March 27, 1927 in Glen Ellyn, Illinois.[7]
Burial
Thomas Augustus Hoadley was buried on March 30, 1927 at Forest Hill Cemetery in Glen Ellyn, Illinois.[7][8]
