Mildred,[1] daughter of James Hill and Katherine Allen, was born in 6 April 1896[2] in Homestead, Pennsylvania. By 1900, the family was living in Homestead outside Pittsburgh, where her father was a tailor.[2] The household included her parents James W. Hill (age 38) and Katie B. (28); Mildred A. (4); her siblings Dorothy A. (7) and Lloyd J. (1); her maternal grandmother Ann H Allen (68); a servant and two lodgers.[2]
During the next ten years the family had moved across the Monongahela River to Swissvale.[3] The household had grown to encompass James W. (47, merchant tailor), Kate B. (37), Mildred (14), Dorothy (16), Lloyd (11), Kenneth (7), Roscoe (5) and Richard (2).[3]
Her father James died 11 February 1920,[4] leaving her mother Catherine (age 48) as head of the household in Chartiers, Allegheny County, consisting of Dorthey A. (26, steam railroad stenographer), Mildred A. (23, steam railroad stenographer), James L. (21, clerk for the steam railroad), Kenneth W. (17), Roscoe T. (15, oil company clerk), John R. (12), Marion B. (9).[5]
Nothing more can be known about her with any certainty until the census records for 1930 and 1940 can be located. She likely died in May 1984.[6][6][1][5][2][3][4]

The name is common enough and the clues so sparse that this record isn't certain to be for this Mildred.
