Biography

Conrad was an Irish Palatine.
Conrad Hess died young.

pp.128-129: "Hess (Hes) x Jeremias (Jerrimias) Jeremias Hess and his wife already had a very emotional emigrant history behind them. Twenty one years before he had already set out with his family to emigrate to America. That time he did not reach his goal of America. He was brought by a sailing ship from Holland to England and had to stay in the Blackheath camp south of London. Since no room was found in any ship for America, he was redirected to County Limerick in Ireland with a group of people from the Palatine. The 1713 note of the Pastor from Mutterstadt that Jeremias Hess with his wife Anna had been baptismal witnesses for Anna Maria Heim, baptized in Ireland on 29 Dec. 1709, daughter of Hans Paulus Heim who came from Mutterstadt and of Anna Volk, proves that Jeremias Hess was in Ireland as does the note about his own children, Hans Conrad and Elizabeth, both born in Mutterstadt, “mortuus in Irland”, i.e. “died in Ireland”. When Jeremias Hess was registered in St. Catherine’s England [c. 1710], he was 34 years old [b.c. 1676]. Apart from his wife, 2 sons - aged 7 [b. 1703] and 5 years [b. 1705] are named and a daughter aged 2 years [b. 1708]. When they are transported back to Holland in 1711, it says “Jeremias Hess and 3 persons.” When the couple had more children after they returned to Mutterstadt, one of the sons received the name of the brother who had died in Ireland, Johann Conrad. The family of Jeremias Hess reached their long awaited goal on the ship 'Thistle of Glasgow.' Children: 1. son, born about 1703 2. Hans Conrad, born 3 May 1705, Mutterstadt, died in Ireland 3. Elisabeth born 21 October 1708, Mutterstadt, died in Ireland 4. Christian born 14 July 1713, Mutterstadt, died in Mutterstadt 5. Hans Conrad 19 August 1714, Mutterstadt 6. Balthasar, 8 December 1717, Mutterstadt"

Hess-2611 and Hess-1826 appear to represent the same person because: Birthdate and biography text indicate that these are the same person.
