In the 1940 US census, Ann R Herzenstein (16) was living in San Mateo, California, with parents Morris Herzenstein (71) and Katherine Herzenstein (47), and siblings Evelyn C Haas (27) and David W Haas (25).[4] (Note that she is listed as Ann R Haas in some transcriptions, because her sister is listed above Ann on the record with her married name Evelyn Haas.)
