Stevelina "Lena" Henken was born May 4,1890 in Rhenen, Utrechts, Netherlands. She was the daughter of Arie Henken and Johanna van de Weetering. Lena Henken married Frederick Aalpoel. She passed away April 25, 1963 at Lynden, Whatcom Co., Washington.

AALPOEL- Mrs. Lena Aalpoel, age 72 of Rt. 3, Lynden passed away in a local hospital Thursday, April 25 following a short illness. She had been a resident of the Lynden area since 1926 and was a member of the Protestant Reformed Church. Surviving are her husband, Fred, 3 sons, Dr. Justin Aalpoel, of Yakima, Herbert Aalpoel of Lynden, 1 daughter, Mrs Robert Moa of Cameno Island; 5 brothers, Ira and Everett Henken both of Lynden, Albert Henken of Bellingham, Ralph and John Henken, both in Wisconsin, also 8 grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at the GILLIES FUNERAL HOME in Lynden, Monday, April 29 at 2 p.m. Burial will follow in the Monumenta Cemetery.
