Biography
The family moved to Missouri for a few years. It appears that Isaiah moved to Missouri with his wife's father, Robert D., Jackson as they both appear in the 1860 Harrison Co. census. It is estimated that they moved sometime around 1856-1857 as Isaiah's son Rufus was born in Missouri. His brother James W. followed as he is on the 1870 Harrison Co., Missouri but by then Isaiah had returned to Logan Co., Ohio. James then moved on to Iowa, Nebraska, Colorado. By the 1900 census James' wife, Ann, was living in California with their daughter Anna. Also some of James' sons, J.A., William & James M were living in California. Isaiah's other brother Edward moved to Kansas as well as their sister Mary Southard Washburn. This brother stayed in KS and this sister and her son Joseph I. Southard then moved to Woodward Co., Oklahoma .
