Biography

According to Austrian records, Elisabeth's name was M(aria) Elisabeth Heiseler. Elisabeth was the youngest child of Leonhard Heiseler and Theresia Fögele/Vögele. She married Johann Wacker on 9 August 1853 in Ried im Oberinntal, Landeck, Tirol, Austria. They arrived in New York City on 30 June 1854 aboard the ship Schlosser. They were traveling with Elisabeth's brother, Tobias Heisler, and his wife, Veronika Heisler. Final resting place of daughter Elisabeth (1870-1873?) is believed to be in Heidelberg.
