Biography

John was born about 1867 in Carbonear Newfoundland (St. Patrick's) son of Richard and Grace Hayden.^[1] He was a widower at age 37 when married Alice King in July 1904 in Small Point (part of the Bay de Verde district)^[2] With wife Alice King he had six children: Grace b. 1908 Patrick b. 1909 Jennie b. 1915 Dorothy b. 1917 Agustus b. 1919 Paul b. 1921^[3]

Note, a John Joseph Hayden (b. 10 May 1866) may have been the child of James Hayden and Mary Walsh. Whose brother Patrick was born in 1964.^[4]
