Biography

Mary Jane was born in 1829. She was the daughter of John Harvin and Rebecca Naomi Nowell. She married William Matthew Reese. In the 1850 census ^[1] she is living in the Sumter District, South Carolina with her husband. In the 1860 census ^[2] she is still in the Sumter District with her husband, four children; Susan Eloise (age 10), Albert Wallace (age 8), Edwin Harvin (age 5), and William Henry (age 2). By the 1870 census ^[3]two more had been added to the household, Jesse and John. Mary Jane passed away in 1890.
