If you look at the details it's pretty clear that Edmund Harrison Harrison-2563 is not the father here. It must be another Edmund Harrison

- He was b. in 1764 so would have been 12 when James was born.

- The parents were married in Yorkshire, England (see Ancestry link) whereas Edmund was born in Virginia. Seems unlikely

I've replaced James's father with a different Edmund Harrison born in Lancashire, as in the Ancestry profile.

The other Edmund Harrison is well known - he was speaker of the house in Virginia and has a Wikipedia page. His two marriages are noted there, but none to Mary Armistead.
