Biography
Alcide Hanks, first-born son of Olezime Hanks and Azelda Cormier, was born August 29, 1877 in Pouppeville (now Rayne), Acadia Parish, Louisiana.[1] He was named to honor his father's older brother, Alcide Hanks. Alcide was living with his parents and a brother in Lafayette, Louisiana in 1880.[2]
Alcide married Edna Benoit in Rayne, Louisiana in December of 1898. [3]
