Wesley G. Hanken was born in Center Junction, Iowa, in 1926. He served with the U. S. Army during World War II, rising to the rank of Sergeant. Wesley Hanken died in Anamosa, Iowa, in 2013. He is buried in Oakwood Cemetery, Monticello, Jones County, Iowa.
