Biography

William Andrew Hanford was born in Norwalk, CT in 1819. On the death of his mother, he went to Ohio to live with his uncle William. In 1850 he was engaged in the manufacture of paper at Cuyahoga Falls. He had an extensive acquaintance among the businessmen and old settlers in the part of the state where he resided. He died March 19, 1899, and was buried at Cuyahoga Falls.
