Mary Hallet was born in 1773. She married three times, outliving all of her husbands. M1: Dr. Josiah Baker (1780-1810), married on 23 Sept 1802. He died, age 30. M2: Edward Dixon, who d. 1828. M3: Ebenezer Howes, 19 June 1836 in Nantucket.
In 1850, the Howes family lived in Yarmouth, Massachusetts. The household included Eben (Ebenezer), 75, a farmer with $600 in real estate; his (2nd) wife Mary, 77; his three children, Samuel, 48, a carpenter; Olive, 45; and John, 29, a “Gentleman”; and a 40 yr old farm laborer. All were born in Massachusetts. [1]
Mary died, aged 84-85, on 18 April 1858. She is buried with her husband Ebenezer Howes in Woodside Cemetery, Yarmouth, Massachusetts. [2]
