Charles, son of William Hadden & Helen Calder, was born on 21 February 1823 and baptised on 2 March 1823 in Gladsmuir, Haddingtonshire, Scotland.^[1]

Charles married Agnes Dobson on 29 May 1846 in Gladsmuir, Haddingtonshire, Scotland.^[2]

Charles's daughter Margaret Hadden was baptised on 14 August 1854 in Kilmore, Victoria, Australia.^[3]

Hadden William Smith Longniddry & his wife Helen Calder had a son born the 21st Febry 1823 & baptised the 2nd March 1823 by Dr Hamilton before these witnesses James Hadden & Will Hadden & named Charles, LDS Gladsmuir Parish Records Film No 1067799.

Hadden Charles Labourer Longniddry & Agnes Dobson Merryhatton both of this parish gave up their names for proclamation in order to Marriage on the 29th May 1846 & having been three several times proclaimed & no objections offered were married, LDS Gladsmuir Parish Records Film No 1067799.
