I was married in 2001. Had my first child (a boy) in 2002. Left my husband in 2005 and soon changed back to my adoptive maiden name. Began dating (and later living with) my common-law spouse in 2007. Had my second child (a girl) in 2010.
I am a 43-year-old adoptee, I have 2 separate profiles for myself since (as I understand it) to include myself in my adoptive family tree AND my birth family it is the only workaround since there is no way *direct* way to enter myself onto WikiTree as the child of multiple parents.
It's rather frustrating. And I realize that I will also not be able to enter my children as part of this tree either.
This the link to my profile that exists in my biological aka DNA family tree on the site: http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Sangoi-6
BTW, I have been DNA tested at 23andMe.com - my results are also in the family finder section of familytreedna.com and on gedmatch.com (M144806)
(I checked and here's what WikiTree says:
WikiTree only allows a person to have one mother and one father. This provides the basic structure for family trees.
Another option for adoptions is to keep two separate profiles for the adopted child. One profile would have the birth name and birth parents and the other would have the "real" name and adoptive parents.)
