Marie Guillemet was born on 31 May 1678 and baptized the following day in Saint-Jean, Île d'Orléans, Canada, Nouvelle-France. Her parents were Nicolas Guillemet and Marie Selle. Baptism registered in Sainte-Famille, Île d'Orléans. Godparents at the infant's baptism were Philippe Pasquier and Marie Campeau wife of Mathurin Dubé. The officiating priest was Charles Amador Martin.^[1][2]
