James and his brother, William Guiher, both retirees, were lodgers in Frank B. McClendon's home in San Diego, California in 1930.[3][4]
James died in 1944 and was buried in Mount Hope Cemetery, San Diego, San Diego, California. William died in 1947 and they share a gravestone. [5]
