Domenica Grizzaffi is born and baptized 26 January 1879. She is the daughter of Bernardo Grizzaffi and Paula d'Antoni. Her godmother is Brigitta Mannina, wife of Salvatore Grizzaffi.[1] Domenica is the first born child, named after her paternal grandmother.[2]
Domenica marries Salvatore Posti, son of unknown parents, born in Partinico and a resident of Corleone from childhood, on 4 February 1899. Her parents are both still living.[3]
Domenica and Salvatore have at least four children: Carmela (1899), Giuseppe (c. 1903), Bernardo (1905), and Giuseppa (1908).
Carmela is born 13 May 1899 and baptized the next day. Her godparents are Leoluca Sangiorgi and Giuseppa Governali, a married couple.[4]
Four months after Carmela is born, Domenica attempts to sail to New York to join Salvatore.

Giuseppe Lanza: his age is not clear but in Occupation it says “Baby”, he is joining the same person
Domenica Grizzaffi, 21 (b. 1878), married - has a line through her name indicating she did not sail. She intended to join her husband Salvatore Ponti at 323 E 74th St.
