Biography

Henry Grey, 3rd Earl of Stamford was born on 10th June 1685 at Enville, staffordshire. He was the son of Honrable John Grey and his wife Honrable Catherine Ward.

He married Dorothy Wright, daughter of Sir Nathan Wright, on 6th July 1704. He died on 14th November 1739 aged 54, and was buried at Envile on the 20th.

Henry and Dorothy had 10 children, 3 of whom died as infants:-

John Grey (died as infant, bur. 1708)

Lady Catherine Grey b 11th Feb 1711 d.11th April 1748

2 sons named Harry, both died as infants, and were buried in 1713
