Sarah Grady / Graddy's husband, Pearce Mozingo, American Revolutionary Patriot, was born about 1750 in Edgecombe County, North Carolina; he married Sarah Grady about 1770.
Husband Boothe Pearce Mozingo.
Wife Sarah Graddy.
Child: Absolem Pierce Mozingo.
Marriage: 1773[1] This Family Group Sheet Entry conflicts with the following narrative:
One of their children was Absolom Pearce Mozingo, born about 1799. He married Mary Jones and they moved to Bibb County, Alabama before 1826. They had eleven children.
The oldest [Mozingo grandchild by Absolom and Mary (Jones) Mozingo] was Allen Jones Mozingo, born 1828, who married Eliza Rachel Rosser Johnston Blocker in 1857 in Tuscaloosa County, Alabama. This family [moved to Bowie County, Texas] in 1881.[2]

Sarah (Graddy) Mozingo was in Wayne County, North Carolina in 1830.[4]

Estate File
Sarah "Sally" (Graddy) Mozingo died about 1841, noting this estate might be thought to be that of the daughter of the same name, but the context of the document seems to clearly indicate that Sally Mozingo was the mother of the children named in the document as heirs. It is noted that Rich Hinson (sp?), Benaph Herring (sp?) and Kinchin Smith (sp?) posted bond as executors and administrators, and that Graddy Mozingo was the purchaser of several liquidated items in the record.
Perhaps most significantly, land was distributed to Winniford Mozingo, Anna (Mozingo) Anderson (wife of John Anderson) and Graddy Mozingo, although the document is difficult to read.
In another plea in the documents, Ally (Mozingo?) Robinson is named as a petitioner, which tends to suggest that daughter Sarah was not the decedent in this estate liquidation, but rather the subject of this profile, Sarah "Sally" (Graddy) Mozingo, mother of the Mozingo children named, was. Note also:
... Sally Mozingo has departed this life intestate leaving your Petitioners together with Pierce Mozingo [apparent son, still alive] and Susan Ward formerly Susan Mozingo wife of Lewis Ward her heirs at law...[3]

Advance notice that I am preparing to propose a merge with Selah Parrott because too many coincidences suggest that these are one and the same wives of the one husband, and it stands to reason that they are, in fact, the same person.
Also, Sarah v. Sela seems like an easy enough "linguistic distinction without a difference."
On the present profile, we have a lot of information that appears to be merely speculative search results, as opposed to vetted matched sourcing.
Just wanted to give a heads-up before proceeding to initiating a merge.
Graddy-76 and Grady-386 appear to represent the same person because: While the Graddy-76 profile has specific sources from FamilySearch, before that spelling of the name is accepted as correct, we need a reliability check on the preferred spelling. A later child was named Graddy, but that is not sufficient evidence, because the spelling might have been altered for any number of reasons. Please let me know once the merge is completed. Thanks Fann Fann
