Biography

Annie was born in 1885.^[1] She was the daughter of John Gracey and Ellen Hurley. She passed away in 1960.^[2] She is buried in the Nanango Cemetery, Queensland.^[3]

In 1909, Annie married Edward Mark Smoothy.^[4]

Hurley family reunion book 1989

In a booklet prepared for a Hurley family reunion on 12 Nov 1989 the following comments appeared.

Annie Gracey selected land at Tarong also and later married Mark Smoothy in 1909. ... Annie was also an excellent horsewoman and of great assistance to her husband in managing their cattle property.^[5]
