Biography
Mercy Gorham was born Oct. 4, 1764, the daughter of Jabez Gorham and Mary Burbank, who emigrated to Liverpool, Nova Scotia in 1761[1]
On 21 Dec 1788, she married Dennis Freeman, and lived at Milton, N. S. Their children included:
- Martha, who married Levi Minard
- Lothrop, who married Hannah Ford
- George, who was born September 28, 1793; and married Mary Kempton
- Dennis, who was born August 20, 1795 ; who married Jemima Freeman on November 1, 1819
- Barnabas, who married first Charlotte Kempton, and second Lucy Gardner, on May 9, 1851
- Gorham, who was born August 29, 1797, and who married Rebecca Freeman, October 15, 1827
- Dorinda; born November 3, 1798, who married Zohith Freeman
- Tracey, born February 1, 1805; who married Permelia Gardner, August 5, 1830
- Lewis, born December 26, 1808; who married Elizabeth Cole
- Isaac, born July 29, 1810; who married Lucena Kempton
