Biography

Joseph Pierre Girouard was born on August 9, 1911 in Rogersville, Northumberland, New Brunswick, Canada, son of Simon Girouard (~1883–1914) and Marie Bourgeois (1881–1960).

In the 1921 census, Joseph (age 9), Scholar, was the stepson of Leon B Aucoin at 54 Plateau, Inverness, Plateau, Nova Scotia, Canada.[1]

Pierre married Elizabeth Mary McNamara, daughter of Jack McNamara and Elizabeth (Ranson) McNamara, in New Waterford, Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, Canada, in 1935.[2] Their children were:

Pierre died on June 4, 2001, in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, Canada, aged 89.[3]
