Michel Girard married Françoise Anceaume at an unknown date and place, they are the known parents of Joachim Girard, being listed on his marriage record to Marie Halay on 27 September 1660 in Québec city (ND)[3][4]Note: Jetté and various other authors put Joachim as possibly brother of Marie Madeleine Girard who married Charles Jobin, this is not the case, they were first cousins. Joachim Girard (1641-__) was the brother of Marie Girard, and was present at the signing of her marriage contract on 8 May 1667 (contract in French section). It is not known if they were only half-siblings, this is not mentioned in the act, he is recorded as being son of Françoise Anceaume on his marriage while she is recorded as being daughter of Charlotte Desnoyers/Dunoyer. Both children of Michel Girard.

Michel passed away after 27 Sep 1660 (per his son's marriage record).
