B. Wernli was at Coupland this week to attend the funeral of his mother, Mrs. Elizabeth Wernli, age 89 years, who died Tuesday at the home of her daughter in Taylor. He husband died in 1901 in Switzerland, her native home. In 1905 she and her seven children located at Coupland. She was a devout member of the Lutheran church. Three daughters and four sons survive her.
