Biography

John was born in Farnham Surrey before 3 June 1825 which is the date of his christening there. He is the son of John Gillam and Sarah.

On 1 November 1846 at St Mary's Church Frensham, John married Jane Boxall. John and Jane had 2 children together, a son born in 1848 and a daughter born in 1849.

John was widowed in February 1851. He passed away in Farnham in September 1867 and he was interred in Wrecclesham on 22 September 1867.
