Biography

Edward Henry Gillam was born on 24 November 1899 in New Zealand, son of George Henry Gillam (1861–1929) and Mary Jane Wilks (1869–1956).[1][2]

His siblings were:

  2. George Henry Gillam (1891 – 28 October 1959)
  3. Elsie Gillam (28 August 1894 – unknown)
  4. Alexander Gillam (5 July 1896 – 20 December 1979)
  5. Herbert Gillam (31 May 1898 – 4 June 1898)
  6. Hugh Henry Gillam (23 December 1901 – 3 March 1965)
  7. Mary Gillam (1909 – 1992)

Edward (28) married Phyllis Beryl Hollamby (25) (born on 21 June 1902 in New Zealand; daughter of William Hollamby and Lydia Kate (Loper) Hollamby) on 15 February 1928 in New Zealand.[3] Their known children were:

  1. Brian Henry Gillam (24 November 1929 – 19 August 1990)
  2. Pamela Ngaire Gillam (16 July 1935 – 17 September 2018)

Edward died on 6 December 1968 in Rotorua, Bay of Plenty, New Zealand, aged 69.[4][2]
